2XFR: A QUICKER, BETTER SECURE
LICENSING PROCESS
Call it what you'd like, but technology transfer, invention
licensing, cross-licensing, licensing-in, licensing-out,
exclusive license, non-exclusive license, and license
option are all fundamentally the same in the most important
aspect: at the end of the day, the owner of a patent
licenses rights in that patent to another party which
hopes to commercialize it for a profit.
The traditionally frustrating process CAN be simplified,
and more business can be transacted if both parties
come to the table knowledgeable, ready and able to seal
a deal. 2XFR helps both parties simplify the deal.
Our Tech-XFR guidelines for inventors, licensees and
attorneys are founded on decades of real world front
line experience, and lay forth a suggested foundation
for all parties to quickly move through the phases of
licensing, and close a deal (without bring in third
parties who can frustrate negotiations). It will seem
like common sense ... and it is. Don't make the process
more complicated than it is. "Do the deal"
and get on with business.

We recommend that licensees also read >technology

guidelines<. Understanding licensing from the
OTHER'S perspective will accelerate business to mutual
benefit - the ultimate mission of 2XFR.
